My nusband and I both work full time jobs, and as our son was getting older, finding childcare was starting to become increasingly difficult. After touring a few locations in Southwest Houston, we ultimately decided that Gessner Kiddie Kollege was the best place to help care for our son. We enrolled him when he was a year and a half old. Ever since then, this facility and faculty have not only made us feel welcomed, but also have been so engaged in my child’s education and development. GKK is NOT a mere daycare where the children are watching Cocomelon all day. They follow a certified curriculum and a scheduled structure in the classrooms that includes math, science, music, reading/writing, and life skills. They also take them to field trips, like to the Children’s Museum. GKK occasionally has themed weeks and has planned holiday events and programs, which is always fun and engaging for the families. GKK also has an open door policy for the parents/guardians to communicate any concerns. They provide open houses, “meet the teacher” day, and hold parent-teacher conferences. This family-owned facility has staff who truly love what they do. They all know each child by name, regardless of what class they’re in. My son has absolutely and continues to thrive at GKK. I cannot even begin to say how much my son’s knowledge, social skills, and confidence has grown while being a student here. Thank you GKK, for having our son be apart of your family.
